Views:
  1. Enable and activate the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) in BIOS. This is required for BitLocker to encrypt the device. For the procedure, refer to the following:
  2. Turn on the TPM:

    1. Open the TPM Management (tpm.msc) snap-in.
    2. In the Action pane, click Turn TPM On to display the Turn on the TPM Security Hardware page. Read the instructions on this page.

      If the TPM has previously been initialized and an Owner password has been created, you will be prompted with the Window below. You may use the owner password file or enter the owner password. If you do not have these, a system restart is required. This ensures that the user has physical access to the computer and that malicious software is not attempting to make changes to the TPM.

  3. Go to Control Panel > BitLocker Drive Encryption and make sure that BitLocker is off.
