The Proxy Auto-Configuration (PAC) file defines how the browsers or agents choose a proxy server. This is useful in an environment with multiple proxies especially when the computers need to detect the appropriate proxy based on the destination.

You can configure OfficeScan (OSCE) clients to use a PAC file to choose the proxy server for updates, and connection with OSCE server or Smart Protection Server.

When the OSCE clients do not connect to the expected proxy, you can use some tools to test if your PAC file is coded properly.
