TMC Information Share

The TMC Information Share option allows users to configure what data is sent to the TippingPoint Threat Management Center (TMC), such as usage and health information on deployments and the types of attack traffic and filter alerts you are seeing.

Data collected:IP Address
Console Location:Toolbar > Edit > Preferences > TMC Information Share
Console settings:

The following options can be configured:

  • Update tracking
  • TMC polling
  • ThreatLinQ event sharing
  • Sharing CVE coverage gaps

Backup

The backup option allows the user to send a complete backup of the SMS system to specified locations (such as TippingPoint Support) for analysis.

An SMS backup may include all configured properties of the system, including items like IP addresses, usernames, and email addresses. Backup data is only sent to destinations that the user controls.

  • Cell
  • Email
  • Name
  • Location
Console Location:Admin > Database > Backup > Backup Now
Console Settings:

Opt-in by configuring via the Backup wizard and physically sending the backup file.
