To build Apex Central on a cloud environment, the following items should be noted:

  • Apex Central and its database (i.e. SQL server) can be placed in cloud environment if it is installed on Virtual Machines (VM).
  • Network connections between Apex Central server and managed products or AD servers should be firm and stable.
     
    Trend Micro does not guarantee fixes for performance issues in a cloud environment, if it is caused by network problems.
  • Open the ports used by Apex Central for communications. Refer to this article.
  • Leveraging Cloud Database as a service from cloud provider (e.g. Azure SQL database) is currently not supported.
