There are three (3) types of rules in TMEMS - Inbound Filtering: the "S" rule for spam, "V" rule for virus and "C" rule for content. Digest Email only makes a list of emails triggered by an "S" rule, so only the policy triggered by this rule delivers a digest. This is because Trend Micro does not want anyone aside from the administrators to know or release anything that is not spam.

Below are sample scenarios:

  • When the administrators have a rule to quarantine corporate content-sensitive messages, we do not want an end-user to see and to be able to release the message.
  • When the administrators quarantine a virus, we do not want it to be released.
