To resolve this issue, do the following:

 
Use Administrator level privileges to be able to edit the URL shortcut.
 
  1. Go to the Deep Security Manager directory.
  2. Look for the URL file "launch".
  3. Check the file properties and then update the URL to include the correct server name or to point it to the correct server name.

After the launch file is updated, the dsm_l.exe file should be able to open the Deep Security Manager console via Desktop icon or Programs menu.
