To enable the Scan Security Threats option, follow the procedure that applies to you:
- Using Windows Explorer, go to ..\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV.
- Open the ofcscan.ini file and go to the [Global Setting] section.
- Look for the parameter "ShellExtensionOnOff " and change its value to "0".
- Save and close the file.
- Log on to the WFBS server console.
- Go to Preferences > Global Settings > Desktop/Server tab.
- Click Save to globally deploy the new settings.
- Using one of the workstations, manually update the Security Agent.
- Right-click the Security Agent icon on the system tray.
- Click Update Now.
- Right-click a file or folder to check if the Scan for Security Threats option is enabled.
- Unload the Security Agent.
- Right-click the Security Agent icon on the system tray.
- Click Exit Worry-Free Business Security.
- Open the registry editor. Always create a backup before modifying the registry. Incorrect registry changes may cause serious issues. Should this occur, restore it by referring to the "Restoring the Registry" Help topic in Regedit.exe or the "Restoring a Registry Key" Help topic in Regedt32.exe.
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\UniClient\1600\Scan\Profiles\1.
- Look for the "EnableShellScan" registry key and change its value to "1".
- Close the registry editor.
- Go to the ..\Trend Micro\Client Server Security Agent folder.
- Open the ofcscan.ini file.
- Look for the "ShellExtensionOnOff" parameter and change its value to "1".
- Save and close the file.
- Reload the Security Agent.
- Click Start > All Programs.
- Click Worry-Free Business Security Agent.
- Right-click a file or folder and verify if the Scan with Client/Server Security Agent option is added on the menu. If the option is not yet present, restart the computer.
