Views:

To perform a manual update:

  1. Go to ..\Program Files\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV\Download\antispam\smex\ and copy the following files:
    • iasxxxx.zip
    • iasxxxxxxx.zip
  2. On the Exchange server hosting the MSA, stop the following services:
    • Trend Micro Messaging Security Agent System Watcher Service
    • Trend Micro Messaging Security Agent Remote Configuration Server
    • Trend Micro Messaging Security Agent Master Service
  3. Go to the following directories, and then delete the oldest .EXP, HSH, PHI, RUL, SIG files.
     
    To determine which of the files is the oldest, you may arrange the files according to "Date Modified".
    • ..\Program Files\Trend Micro\Messaging Security Agent\Engine\TMASE\latest\rule
    • ..\Program Files\Trend Micro\Messaging Security Agent\Engine\TMASE\primary\rule
    • ..\Program Files\Trend Micro\Messaging Security Agent\Engine\TMASE\secondary\rule
  4. Extract the copies of the iasxxxx.zip and iasxxxxxxx.zip files you got from Step 1 to the following directories:
    • ..\Program Files\Trend Micro\Messaging Security Agent\Engine\TMASE\latest\rule
    • ..\Program Files\Trend Micro\Messaging Security Agent\Engine\TMASE\primary\rule
    • ..\Program Files\Trend Micro\Messaging Security Agent\Engine\TMASE\secondary\rule
  5. Restart the following services:
    • Trend Micro Messaging Security Agent System Watcher Service
    • Trend Micro Messaging Security Agent Remote Configuration Server
    • Trend Micro Messaging Security Agent Master Service
