To resolve this issue, disable the secure connection when downloading updates from TMCM:
"Set Configuration disablesecureupdate=1"
By default, SMID secure connection when the SMID servers are configured to get updates from TMCM server as another Internet source. However, TMCM cannot hold a *.sig file, causing the communication to fail. The TmuDump.txt file from the SMID server shows that SMID tries to download SIG files from a non-exisiting TMCM server. The file also displays the following error:
