To resolve the issue:

  1. On the affected Normal Server (NS), open the Registry Editor.

    Always back up the whole registry before making any modifications. Incorrect changes to the registry can cause serious system problems.
  2. Go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\ServerProtect\CurrentVersion and create a new key, "FixedComputerIP" without quotation marks.
  3. Under FixedComputerIP, create a new sub-key (REG_SZ) and name it "NS hostname".
  4. Set the sub-key's value to the Normal Server IP address.

    MyNormalServer=xxx.xxx.xx.x

    Where "xxx.xxx.xx.x" represents the Normal Server IP address

    ”MyNormalServer”

  5. Restart the Trend ServerProtect Service (spntsvc.exe).
