- Open the Registry Editor.
Always back up the whole registry before making any modifications. Incorrect changes to the registry can cause serious system problems.
- Go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\ScanMail for Exchange\CurrentVersion.
- Add the following String Value key:
ForceExcludeFileName
- Set the corresponding Data Value for each key.
Separate multiple items using a semicolon (;).Make sure to include the extension name of the file that you are excluding. - Exit the Registry Editor.
- Open the Registry Editor.

Type: REG_SZ (string)
Value: Type the file extensions to exclude. For example: mmap - Exit the Registry Editor.
