This error occurs due to insufficient permissions or because the EXE file is blocked for added security.
To resolve the issue:
- Check your account permissions. You should have administrator privilege to install the OfficeScan server.
- If the OfficeScan installer was copied from a different machine such as Windows 7 or Windows Vista, right-click the installer file and choose Properties to open the Properties window.
- Go to the General tab and look for the Security section where you can see the following message:
This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer.
- Click the Unblock button, and then click OK.
- Execute the file again.
