Summary
You receive the following error message when SPLX cannot register to TMCM:
“Unable to register to the Control Manager server. Possible reason: Cannot connect to the Control Manager server or the proxy server. Please check your network settings and make sure the network connection between the entity and the Control Manager server or the proxy server is available."
This happens because of a corrupted product.ini file in SPLX.
To resolve this issue, do the following:
- Open /opt/TrendMicro/SProtectLinux/Product.ini

Check if the entries appear exactly as the following:
[pattern_info]
Name=0x000000004
[engine_info]
Name=0x00020000
If values appear differently, change them to the above values.

Run the following command to restart SPLX:
#service splx restart
