Operating System and Hypervisor Support
- New Operating System or Hypervisor Support
Trend Micro will communicate the target release timeframe when it will provide support for major new Operating System Releases. Communication will be provided via support channels on or before a new OS version is released. The current shipping or a future version of Trend Micro product will be certified compatible with the newly-released OS.
- Major Operating System and Hypervisor Updates or Service Packs
Trend Micro will certify supported released products (current release and previous/one back) on operating system major service pack/updates within 90 days after the OS update is released, unless it has been determined, during testing, that a product change is required. In case when Trend Micro determines the need for a product change to support the OS service pack/update, a new date will be communicated via support channels. Software incompatibilities, if any, will be communicated on our website.
- Minor Operating System and Hypervisor Updates or Bug Fixes
Trend Micro will exert its best effort to support patches or minor updates (i.e. security updates or bug fixes) released by the OS vendors. If users encounter issues on the patch or minor update, Trend Micro will provide the appropriate support to ensure the product functions with the patch or minor update.
