The cause of the issue is under investigation. As a workaround, bypass the VMware view remote connection.

1. Open the Deep Security Manager (DSM) then expand Components.
2. Click Lists > Port Lists > New.
3. Name the list "VMVIEW".
4. Add the ports listed in this VMware KB article: Network connectivity requirements for VMware View Manager 4.5 and later.

   It shows the ports that need to be bypassed, but you can just choose the ports that your environment needs. For example: ports 443,4001, and 4172.

5. Choose UDP+TCP as the protocol.
6. Create a new Firewall Rule (Incoming) with the following properties:
   • Action: Bypass
   • Packet destination: Port > Port List and select the port list created in Step 2.
7. Create a new Firewall Rule (Outgoing) with the following properties:
   • Action: Bypass
   • Packet source: Port > Port List and select the port list created in Step 2.
