Summary

When deploying IWSVA, ICMP is disabled by default to lessen chances of a denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack through this protocol.

Follow this procedure to enable ICMP when it is needed, such as during administration and setup.

To enable ICMP:

On the IWSVA console, go to Administration > Network Configuration > Network Interface.
