Summary
The WFRM agent icon does not appear in the system tray after installing WFRM.
This issue happens because tmicAgentSetting.exe does not have permission to run. This is because UAC (User Account Control) in Windows 8 and 2012 does not launch by default.
To resolve the issue, manually run tmicAgentSetting.exe whenever computer restarts.
- Go to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\WFRMAgentForCSM.
- Run tmicAgentSetting.exe.
- Click Yes when prompted to allow the program to make changes to your computer.
WFRM icon should now appear in the system tray.
Even if WFRM agent icon does not appear in the system tray, the service will still run, settings will still be deployed, and logs will still be uploaded to the WFRM server.
