This is a known issue in Windows Server 2012 Essentials. In 2012 Essentials, you will not be automatically redirected to the Security Server Console when you did not use the complete URL of Security Server Console. You need to use the complete URL to access the console: 
https://<server_name>:4343/SMB/default.htm.
