When the AD function on IWSaaS is enabled and configured properly, it can support the following formats:

  • sAMAccountName@primarydomain
  • Email address

If you are the administrator, you need to configure Email attribute correctly. In AD, this attribute should be set to “mail” normally.

As an example, “saastrendlab.com” is the only verified domain in IWSaaS. However, the internal domain is set to “SAASPH”. If a user logs in to a computer as John Smith (username: smithj), it would be SAASPH\smithj. The usual format of the email address johns@saastrendlab.com.

Once IWSaaS is integrated with AD and prompted for a username, below are the valid entries:

  • smithj@saastrendlab.com
  • johns@saastrendlab.com
