Because the database task queue is filling up and TMCM/Apex Central cannot handle the vast amount of tasks, the error message mentioned above still appears even after the manual or scheduled update process has finished successfully.
To resolve the issue, run the DBCleanup tool as the administrator:

Stop the following services:
- Trend Micro Common CGI
- Trend Micro Control Manager
- Trend Micro Management Infrastructure
Trend Micro Common CGI is no longer available in TMCM 7.0.
- Right-click ..Control Manager\DBCleanupTool.exe and select Run as Administrator.

Select the following:
- Invalid Log
- Temp Log
- Command Tracking Log (All)
- Unregistered Product List
- Invalid Engine/Pattern Version
- Click Start.
You should no longer see the error message after performing these steps.
