Back Up

  1. Stop the Mobile Security Management Module Service.
  2. Back up the database using a third-party database tool. The database name is "mdm_dbxxxxxxxxxx".
  3. Back up the files below:
    • …Trend Micro\Mobile Security\web\repository\mobile\agreement.html
    • …Trend Micro\Mobile Security\RSA_key.dat
    • …Trend Micro\Mobile Security\TmDatabase.ini
    • …Trend Micro\Mobile Security\TmOMSM.ini

Restore

  1. Stop the Mobile Security Management Module Service.
  2. Restore the database using a third-party database tool.
  3. Restore the following files:
    • …Trend Micro\Mobile Security\web\repository\mobile\agreement.html
    • …Trend Micro\Mobile Security\RSA_key.dat
    • …Trend Micro\Mobile Security\TmDatabase.ini
    • …Trend Micro\Mobile Security\TmOMSM.ini
  4. Start the Mobile Security Management Module Service.
  5. Check the environment to see whether the restoration is successful.

For Communication Server

If you will also reinstall the Local Communicaiton Server, back up the certificate-related files.

  1. Back up the communication-server-cert.p12 and tmmsmdm-ca.pem files in communication server installation folder.
  2. Keep the password for communication server certificate. The password is set during the creation of the certificate.
  3. If re-installing the communication server next time, import the backup files above using the CertConfigTool.exe which is also located in communication server installation folder.
