- Install the first TMUT with internet access.
- Download the Trend Micro Update Tool.
- Extract the tool to a local folder.
- Run the TMUT.exe file as administrator.
- Enter a valid AC code to activate the tool. Click the About button for more information.
- Close the program and the tray icon.
- Edit the config.xml file and change the value of to "True". The parameter should look like the following:
- Launch the TMUT.exe as administrator.
- If you have a proxy, click the Option tab, enter the details, and click Save.
If you do not have a proxy, proceed to the next step. - Add the TMAU server URL in the Server List tab.
- Click Add.
- Enter a name (e.g. VP 2.0).
- Enter the appropriate URL:
For VP 2.0, http://vp2-p.activeupdate.trendmicro.com/activeupdate/server.ini - Tick the Enable this server option.
- Choose OK and then click Save.
- Under the Service tab, add a service name and select Install.
- Select the Option tab and configure the schedule update (optional).
- Navigate to Job Monitor tab and perform an update.
- Click OK when prompted that the process is complete.
- On the Job Monitor tab, click Export.
- Save the bundle to the TMUT tool’s export folder.
The message “Export is in progress” will appear until TMUT indicates that the export is finished. A time-stamped ZIP file will be created.
- Copy the ZIP file to the Air Gap environment.
- Set up the second TMUT by referring to the previous steps.
- In TMUT Job Monitor tab, click Import to import the ZIP file.
- Go to the Option tab, proceed to the local server section, enable the “Web server” and configure the port number. Default port is 8080 for the web server.
- Go to the VPM console.
- Click Administration > System Settings.
- Choose Updates > Other update source.
- Enter the TMUT url : http://TMUT_address:TMUT_port
(ex : http://192.168.12.3:8080)
VPM can now perform an update from TMUT.
