To create the Relay Hierarchy, follow the steps below:
- Go to Administration > Updates > Relay Group, then clik New.
- Give the new Relay Group a new name (e.g. Primary Relay Group), and click OK. If you are using a Proxy in your environment, you may need to configure your Proxy Settings under the Proxies tab.
- Go to Computers, and find the computer you would like to use as your new Primary Relay Agent, if it does not exist yet.
- Open the connect window of this computer, then go to Overview > Actions > Software, and click on Enable Relay.
- Wait for the new Relay to receive and compute the Update Process (approx. 15 Minutes).
- Go to Administration > Updates > Relay Goups, then open the Relay Group you created in Step 2.
- Find the Relay Agent you created in Step 4, select it and click OK.
- Go to Administration > Updates > Relay Goups, and click New.
- Give the new Relay Group a new Name (i.e. Secondary Relay Group), and click OK.
- Go to the Security Update tab and select the Primary Relay Group as Update Source.
- Go to Computers and find the computer you would like to use as your new Secondary Relay Agent, if it does not exist yet.
- Open the connect window of this computer and go to Overview > Actions > Software, and click on Enable Relay.
- Wait for the new Relay to receive and compute the Update Process (approx. 15 Minutes).
- Go to Administration > Updates > Relay Goups, then open the Relay Group you created in Step 09.

After completing these steps, the Secondary Relay Group (and Relay Agent) will now receive Updates from the Primary Relay Group (and Relay Agent).
Additionally you have the choice to distribute only the Pattern, instead of distributing to the full capacity of a Deep Security Relay Agent.
You can continue to create as many Relay Groups as you wish this way.
