When this issue occurs, the user will encounter Error 577 while trying to launch the OfficeScan NT Listener service on affected platforms.

Steps

  • For customers who have not yet applied OSCE 11.0 SP1 Patch 1 before, please download the updated package from the Download Center:

  • For customers who have applied the previous package published on December 1:
    • If there is no Vista/2008(non-R2) in managed endpoints, please ignore this fix.
    • If endpoints have not yet been deployed to Vista/2008(non-R2), apply Hot Fix Build 6252 (Readme) before further deployment.
    • If endpoints of Vista/2008(non-R2) are already affected, apply Hot Fix Build 6252 (Readme) on the OSCE server and then execute the “AutoPcc.exe –f” command on affected endpoints to force it to download.
