WRS has the ability to detect both HTTP and HTTPS URLs.

  • For HTTP detection, WRS is available for any browser.
  • For HTTPS detection, WRS is only available for Internet Explorer (IE) and Firefox.

Thus, when using Google Chrome, WRS supports only HTTP.

 
OfficeScan XG Service Pack 1 added the ability to block HTTPS traffic with WRS. HTTP/2 traffic may still not be fully blocked. It is suggested to upgrade OfficeScan XG Service Pack 1 to Apex One for HTTP/2 blocking support.
