The sum of the message size is NOT calculated based on the file size in the archive area, but based on statistics of the message size in the database. The message size is the size of Data Files (*.DF), which doesn't include the Address Files (*.AF) used for storing message delivery information. IMSVA generates a DF and AF file pair for each message in the quarantine/archive area. Therefore, the actual used size in the area will include the size of both DF and AF files.
To resolve this issue, increase the size of the Disk quota and reduce the number of days to expire. For example, set it to 80% of the original quota:
- For Quarantined Area, go to Mail Areas & Queues > Settings > Quarantine, then change the value of "Disk quota (per scanner service)". Save the changes.
- For Archive Area, go to Mail Areas & Queues > Settings > Archive, then change the value of "Disk quota (per scanner service)". Save the changes.
