This problem occurs when a firewall or the web proxy server is blocking IMSVA from accessing the Trend Micro WRS service.

To fix this problem:

  1. Retrieve the URLs of the WRS service from /opt/trend/imss/config/imss.ini.db, like shown below:

    [wrsagent]
    tmufe_alter_rs_host = backup35.url.trendmicro.com
    tmufe_rs_host = imsva90-en.url.trendmicro.com

     
    By default, IMSVA9.0 EN uses "imsva90-en.url.trendmicro.com" while IMSVA9.1 EN uses "imsva91-en.url.trendmicro.com". Be reminded that different language versions have different URLs.
  2. Provide these two URLs to the administrator of the web proxy server and/or the administrator of the firewall, and request them to allow IMSVA to access these URLs. It would also be better to request to bypass scanning these URLs.
