- Uninstall Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Native Client from the server.
- Reinstall SMEX 12.5.
This is currently identified as an issue from SQL Server side. To address this, do the following:
ScanMail for Exchange12.5
When installing SMEX 12.5 and selecting SQL Server 2014 Express, the installation fails. This occurs when the target server is already running a version of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Native Client higher than the one contained in the ScanMail installation package.
The error “Fail to setup SQL Server 2014 Express instance” occurs.
