- On the web console of IWSVA, go to Administration > Network Configuration > SNMP Settings.
- Tick the Enable SNMP Trap V1/V2c checkbox.
- If you would like IWSVA to send SNMP traps, fill in the fields under System Information Setup. If you do not want to use SNMP traps you will still have to fill in the fields in this section, but you can enter dummy values.

Under Access Control Setup, enter the name for the read-only community and the IP address or the hostname of the system from which you wish to run SNMP queries. Optionally, you can also specify an OID for the query. Next, click Add.
Repeat this step for each IP address you wish to run SNMP queries from.

- Click Save to finish the setup.

- If you would like IWSVA to send SNMP traps, fill in the fields under System Information Setup. If you do not want to use SNMP traps you will still have to fill in the fields in this section, but you can enter dummy values.

Under Access Control Setup enter the user name, the authentication passphrase and the and the privacy passphrase you wish to use for queries. You will have to enter a value for each passphrase, even if you don’t use encryption for the queries.
