Summary
After installing TMSM, the following message appears:
System Extension Blocked
A program tried to load new system extenssion(s) signed by "Trend Micro, Inc.". If you want to enable these extensions, open Security and Privacy System Preferences.
This prompt appears because, starting macOS High Sierra 10.13, any third-party kernel extension installation will require the user's explicit approval, called "Kernel Extension (KEXT) consent".
If the user fails to allow/approve the KEXT consent prompt, TMSM will not work properly. To fix this issue, follow the steps below:
- On the "System Extension Blocked prompt, click on Open Security Preferences. This will open the Security & Privacy window.
- Under the General section, click on the Allowbutton.
- Reboot the computer to apply the changes.
The "Allow" button will disappear automatically if not acknowledged within 30 minutes. It will appear again once the KEXT is re-loaded by restarting the Mac.
