License Lifecycle

 
  • The popup window can be seen by both license account and sub-account.
  • Popup window can be closed.
  • Top banner cannot be closed.
 

License Period

  • Period Definition:
    • License is in valid period (Defined in CLP/LMP)
    • Calculation: Current Time is before customer License Expired Date
  • Remind Condition:
    • For Full License:days before License Expired Date
    • For Trial License:days before License Expired Date
    • For Auto Renewal Customers: No remind action in license period to avoid disturbing customer
  • Remind Action:
    • Popup window after administrator login
    • Top banner on each page in admin web console
    • Email notification to email address:
      • Saved in account profile (by provision or added later)
      • Email address synced from CLP/LMP

Grace Period

  • Period Definition:
    • License is in grace period (Defined in CLP/LMP)
    • Calculation: Current Time is after License Expired Date and before end of Grace Period
    • Grace Period is synchronized from CLP and LMP system
      If grace period > 30days: Use the grace period sync from CLP (30days) or LMP (45days)
      Else: Grace period=30days
  • Remind Condition: Grace Period start
  • Remind Action:
    • Popup window after administrator login
    • Top banner for each page in admin web console
    • Email notification
      • Send notification to remind license purchase/renew while grace period start
      • Send notification to remind MX record change in 2 days before end of Grace Period

Freeze Period

  • Period Definition: 30 days from Grace Period expired
  • Condition: Freeze Period start
  • Action: Block customer mail traffic
  • Disable customer domains in EMS backend: Block admin and end user console access
  • Period Definition:
    • Freeze period expired
    • Calculation: Current Time is after (License expired + Grace Period + 30 days)
  • Condition:
    • Purge Period start
  • Action:
    • Purge customer all configurations and data permanently
    • It cannot be recovered
