Summary
When Deep Security Agents (DSA) are installed/upgraded to version 12.5 on Linux machines it will sometimes cause high disk utilization on the server. When checked, the high disk utilization is observed on /var/opt/ds_agent/am where there will be multiple core.* files existing. The core.* files are being created because of an issue with Anti - Malware module that keeps crashing, this only happens on 12.5 agents and has been fixed in Deep Security 20 agents and above.
To resolve this, check the agent version if it is covered by the issue and upgrade the agent to Deep Security version 20 to have the fix applied.
- Check if your agent version is 12.5.0.1033.
- Check if Anti-Malware is enabled on the agent.
- If the agent version is 12.5.0.133 and Anti-Malware is enabled, upgrade the agent to version 20.0.0.877 and above.
