CVE-2022-24678: Trend Micro Apex One Security Agent Resource Exhaustion Denial-of-Service Vulnerability CVSSv3: 5.3: AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L
An security agent resource exhaustion denial-of-service vulnerability in Trend Micro Apex One and Trend Micro Apex One as a Service agents could allow an attacker to flood a temporary log location and consume all disk space on affected installations.
CVE-2022-24679: Trend Micro Apex One Security Agent Link Following Local Privilege Escalation Vulnerability

A security link following local privilege escalation vulnerability in Trend Micro Apex One and Trend Micro Apex One as a Service agents could allow a local attacker to create an writable folder in an arbitrary location and escalate privileges affected installations.
Please note: an attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.

Mitigating Factors
Exploiting these type of vulnerabilities generally require that an attacker has access (physical or remote) to a vulnerable machine. In addition to timely application of patches and updated solutions, customers are also advised to review remote access to critical systems and ensure policies and perimeter security is up-to-date.
However, even though an exploit may require several specific conditions to be met, Trend Micro strongly encourages customers to update to the latest builds as soon as possible.
