During the installation process, on the "Edge Relay Server - Security Agent Connection" page, sometimes the Public IP does not appear on the available options, thus the Private IP is initially selected to proceed with the Edge Relay deployment. To be able to successfully reach the off-premise agents, the Edge Relay Server should have a Public IP address configured. Here is how to change the Edge Relay External Ip configuration.

To change the external IP Address of the Edge Relay Server:

  1. Ensure that the Apex One Environment is updated (Apex One Server and Edge Relay Server). Refer to the download center page to check the latest patches available.
  2. Identify the Public IP Address to be configured for the Edge Relay Server. There are cases where the Network Firewall will assign a Virtual IP that points to the Public IP Address. You can Verify with the Network Firewall Vendor if the Virtual IP will be used as a Public IP address.
  3. Login to the Edge Relay Server and update the following information: <Installation Directory>/Program Files/TrendMicro/Officescan Edge Relay/OfcEdgeSvc/Private/ofcedge.ini - under "ServerIP", change the value to Public IP Address assigned.
