Take note of the following considerations:
- The Service Gateway platform is designed to support multiple services, but it's not recommended to install all services on a single instance.
- Certain services require significant resources and are best run on a dedicated Service Gateway appliance. For example, the Forward Proxy Service and Smart Protection Service may consume more resources when many endpoints connect to the appliance.
- If the combined resource requirements of installed services reach 100% of the allocated resources, you may receive a performance warning when attempting to install a new service.
- If the required resources exceed 200% of the allocation, you may encounter an error preventing further installation.
If the required resources reach 200% of what is allocated, and error may be triggered which eventually stops the installation.
In the given scenario, the Service Gateway has 8 CPUs, which means Vision One permits the installation of services up to a total of 16 CPUs (8 x 200% = 16). However, when the customer attempted to install the "Zero Trust Secure Access On-premises Gateway" service, an alert popped up indicating that there was insufficient CPU capacity to proceed with the installation.
Refer to the Help Center article, Service Gateway Appliance System Requirements for details on system requirements and how the Vision One calculates resource consumption.
