Scheduled Scan

  1. Log on to the WFBS web console.
  2. Go to Scans Scheduled Scan.
  3. On the Settings tab, select the groups or Messaging Security Agents that will apply the Scheduled Scan settings.

For more information, see Configuring Scheduled Scans.

  4. Click Save.
  5. Go to the Schedule tab and select the scan frequency. Each group or Messaging Security Agent can have its own schedule.
    • Daily
    • Weekly (This requires that you select a specific day of the week.)
    • Monthly (This requires that you select a specific date within the month.)

For monthly Scheduled Scans, if you select 31, 30, or 29 days and a month has less than the number of days, the scan will not run that month.

  6. As an option you can select Shut down the client after completing a Scheduled Scan.
  7. Click Save.

To prevent the scheduled scan from stopping unexpectedly, do not set it to run simultaneously as the scheduled updates. Also, running a manual scan while a scheduled scan is in progress will stop the scheduled scan.
