To resolve the issue, perform the following steps:

  1. On the Apex Central On-premise server, stop the following services.
    • Trend Micro Apex Central
    • Trend Micro Management Infrastructure
    • World Wide Web Publishing Service
  2. Using a text editor, open SystemConfiguration.xml, located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Trend Micro\Control Manager\
  3. Modify the following value.
    <P Name="m_iUseAUSmartDuplicate" Value="0">
  4. Save the file.
  5. Start the stopped services in Step 1.
  6. To verify, wait for next Smart Scan Agent Pattern update in Apex Central side and check it again.
