During service installation, the URL https://portal.xdr.trendmicro.com/ui/sgi/api/v1/services/service-name/install is sent to the backend server. A pop-up message will appear if the installation fails. This pop-up may not describe more detailed information.
To know more details or find the root cause, you may enable browser "Developer tools" function.

• The following steps demonstrate how to use this function when failing to install "On-premises directory connection" service.

1. Enable browser "developer tool" function to capture network traffic.

   

2. Verify that the HTTP response code is 500.

   

3. Upon checking the HTTP response content, as in the example below, the browser blocked the request because the URL path includes "ad" information, and the browser enabled the "Ads blocker" function.

   

• The next example shows failure in installing the “Zero Trust Secure Access On-premises Gateway” service.  A message with error code "4000056" pops-up indicating "/image" partition does not have enough space, causing the installation problem.
