New DDAN appliances are shipped with the iDRAC setting ‘Enabled’ where previously it was set to ‘Disabled’. Manually updating the iDRAC firmware will change your current system to ‘Enabled’ to match the new systems default configuration. In both instances, you will need to change the iDRAC setting to ‘OS to iDRAC Pass-Through’ to ensure proper functionality of your DDAN appliance.
Please note that the iDRAC firmware’s auto update feature is disabled by default.
