Searching for the IP address of a DSA server that cannot be added to the DSM and you should see some results that IP has been used by existing DSA server on the console. So the machine cannot be add since servers are treated by DSM as update to existing DSA servers.
The following configuration changes can be made to successfully add the new servers to the DSM console:
- Log in to the DSM console and navigate to Administration > System Settings.
- Enable 'Allow Agent to specify hostname' and select 'Activate a new Computer with the same name'.
- Deactivate DSA on all duplicate computers and remove them from DSM.
- Reactivate DSA on the computers.
By following the above steps, DSA computers can be successfully added to the DSM console without encountering IP address conflicts or update issues.
