Below is a sample scenario if both Local Account and SSO were enabled on the TMEMS console:
- Account for local account method (with 2FA (optional)): User A is a TMES subaccount created on the TMEMS console with the following sample login credentials
- email address: userA@example.com
- password: passA
- Account for SSO: User A is from an AD with the following sample login credentials:
- email address: userA@example.com
- password: passB
To successfully log in using either method for user A, the respective conditions must be met:
- For Local Account method:
- User A logged in to the TMEMS Management Console directly using https://ui.tmes.trendmicro.com/en/index.html, instead of the TMEMS URL with a unique identifier (https://ui.tmes.trendmicro.com/en/index.html?cmpID=<testkey>)
- The URL will redirect to the TMEMS console portal and User A will need to use the username and password: passA
Two-factor authentication (2FA) for the local account login method with TMEMS configuration is optional. - For SSO method:
- User A's AD account must be logged in to the browser or logged into the Microsoft Login Portal in another tab, with the password: passB
- User A must be in normal browsing mode
- User A must access the TMEMS URL with a unique identifier (https://ui.tmes.trendmicro.com/en/index.html?cmpID=<testkey>) to initiate the SSO
