Some of the new features and enhancements of DDI 6.7 are listed below. Please refer to What's New for the complete list.
- Centralized management from Trend Vision One:
- Detection exceptions
- Packet capture
- SSH access
- Hypersensitive mode
- Connection to Trend Vision One using a Service Gateway:
- Deep Discovery Inspector can now connect to Trend Vision One using a Service Gateway as a proxy.
- Information sharing with Trend Vision One:
Deep Discovery Inspector can now send the following information to Trend Vision One:
- Throughput information: Deep Discovery Inspector can now send network throughput logs to the Monitored Network Throughput widget in Trend Vision One.
- Network security configuration: Deep Discovery Inspector can now send user settings and other usage statistics to Trend Vision One. You can now see the overall status of your Deep Discovery Inspector appliances from the Executive Dashboard.
- New hardware appliances:
- The new 4300/9300 Deep Discovery Inspector appliance models are now available.
- Enhanced hypervisor support:
You can now deploy the Deep Discovery Inspector virtual appliance to:
- KVM on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 9
- VMware ESXi 8
Recommended Action:
DDI 6.7 (B1077) supports upgrading from DDI version 6.5 or 6.6.
- Upgrade package (.tar) is available on Trend Micro's download center.
- For DDI versions earlier than 6.5, please perform a fresh installation or migrate DDI to the supported versions, 6.5 or 6.6 first. For the migration path, refer to the KB article: Deep Discovery Inspector (DDI) Software Upgrade Path.
Trend Micro recommends that you back up all DDI configurations before migration.
