Summary
Since version 20.0.0-3445 the Workload Security relay can be enabled as a reverse proxy which only downloads and caches agent software packages and security updates that are requested by agents, rather than downloading all released updates. This feature is not completely rolled out to all the customers. Please use the Docs Center article, How relays work for reference.
If upgrade of Workload Security relay (set to work as reverse proxy) to the new version revision 20.0.1 is initiated remotely from the Workload Security then it can fail. In order to fix the upgrade issue, user will need to perform a manual upgrade of the agent where relay is installed.
If the upgrade to 20.0.1+ has already been attempted and error already occurred for the relay, follow these steps:
- In the Workload Security console go to Computers.
- Right-click the relay computer where the error occurred.
- Go to Actions > Clear Warnings/Errors.
- Upgrade the Relay manually. For detailed instructions, refer to the Help Center article, Upgrade the agent: Upgrade the agent manually. The referred-to are for agents, but they work for relays as well.
It is suggested to upgrade new relay set a as reverse proxy to version revision 20.0.1 manually. Use instructions from the Help Center article, Upgrade the agent: Upgrade the agent manually.
