Checking the ..\Trend Micro\Smex\dbDatabaseCreation**.log, you can see the following CScript errors:

CScript Error: Windows Script Host access is disabled on this machine. Contact your administrator for details.

The log indicates that the CScript was disabled. CScript is a Microsoft Application used by SMEX to install\update database.

To resolve this issue, you can follow these steps:

  1. On the Exchange Server, open cmd as Administrator.
  2. Type the command CScript. It should show an output:

  3. If it shows a different result, it means CScript is not present or disabled. Ensure that CScript is enabled or installed on the Exchange Server
