To upgrade the Deep Security Console to support a newer kernel in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, please follow the steps below:
- Upgrade the DSM server version to 20.0.883 or later. The installer can be downloaded from here.
- Import the kernel support package to the DSM console. For Red Hat Enterprise Linux, the package can be downloaded from here.
- Install the Deep Security Agent for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8. The installer can be downloaded from here.
- For Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, it is not necessary to upgrade the agent if there are no issues. The installer can be downloaded from here.
- For Solaris, please refer to the attached image to determine which file to install.
It is recommended to upgrade all components to their latest versions to ensure the best protection and functionality. To upgrade the DSM, download the latest DSM 20 from the download center link provided in the case and save it to the target DSM Server. Backup your DSM Database before installing the DSM Software, and choose upgrade during the install wizard. Once the upgrade is finished, open the DSM Console and navigate on each tab to confirm the DSM upgrade is successful. If you have multiple DSM nodes, please upgrade all of them.
