If a user forgets their on-premise Trend Micro Web Security (TMWS) proxy password or is unable to log in using their old password, the adminui password can be reset via SSH root account. Please follow the steps below:
- Access the SSH root account.
- Open the account.json file located in /opt/trend/tmws/config/ using the vi editor.
- Edit the value of sha_digest to 'tmws'.
- Change the SSH password by typing 'clish'.
- Login to the AdminUI with the new SSH password.
After completing these steps, users should be able to access the gateway via the web using the new password.
