If the reporting service of a software is not working when Deep Security is enabled on the server, it may be necessary to add certain files to the exclusion list. In this case, the affected files are:

  • d:\ibm\websphere\appserver\java\8.0\bin\java.exe
  • D:\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\ctgAppSrv01\logs\MXServer05\SystemOut.log

To add these files to the exclusion list, follow these steps:

  1. From DSM, go to Computers and double-click the affected computer.
  2. Under Real Time Scan, click Edit.
  3. Click the Exclusions tab and under File exclusion, click Edit. Add the following lines:
    • D:\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\bin\WASService.exe
    • d:\ibm\websphere\appserver\java\8.0\bin\java.exe
    • D:\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\ctgAppSrv01\logs\MXServer05\SystemOut.log
  4. Apply and close. Click on Process Image Exclusion and click Edit. Add the following lines:
    • D:\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\bin\WASService.exe
    • d:\ibm\websphere\appserver\java\8.0\bin\java.exe
    • D:\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\ctgAppSrv01\logs\MXServer05\SystemOut.log
  5. Click Apply and Close. Click Save.
  6. Click General, then Actions, and finally Send Policy.
  7. Observe the issue after 10 minutes.
