Ported settings can be configured as follows:

  • Newly created policy
    1. Create a new policy in Apex Central. On the navigation bar go to PoliciesPolicy Management.
    2. Select Product as Apex One Security Agent.
    3. Click Create. You can set these settings under Real-time Scan / Scheduled Scan / Manual Scan / Scan Now setting page.
    4. Click Deploy.
  • Existing policy

To avoid unexpected settings, existing agents will keep the original settings set in Global Settings page. These settings will not be overwritten until the user updates and deploys the exiting policy.

    1. Go to Apex Central > Policies > Policy Management.
    2. Select Product as Apex One Security Agent, click the existing policy.
    3. Initially, there would be red dots/texts right next to the Real-time Scan / Scheduled Scan / Manual Scan / Scan Now. Users need to click (and review) each of the newly added settings (This is to prevent deploying the incorrect settings to the target agents).

The policy cannot be saved/deployed until the new settings have been reviewed. The following error would be shown:

“Action required. Before you can deploy policy settings to Security Agents, review and update the scan settings indicated by the red dot under...”

IMPORTANT: The initial global setting ported would be based on Apex One default values. Customized global setting values would not be automatically ported, please review and update the policy settings as necessary.

Hybrid setup users (Apex Central On-Prem managing Apex One SaaS) will need to apply Apex Central On-Premise Build 8.0.6796 (or higher) to support proper deployment of the scan settings. Prior to applying the correct Apex Central, some scan setting will not be deployed.

Apex Central Hot Fix Build 8.0.6796 is now available upon request. Please contact Trend Micro Technical Support.

Hybrid setup users are advised to apply this hot fix or higher build patches.

May 31, 2024 Notice: Trend Micro has identified an issue affecting limited number of users where existing policies may show non-numerical value on the compressed file settings. This has been identified to be caused by improper setting migration and has been mitigated as of May 30, 2024 07:00 GMT+0.
