  1. Log on to the WFBS-SVC console.
  2. Go to the Security Agents tab.

  3. Click Add Security Agents.

  4. On the Security Agent Installation Methods page, select an installation method by doing either of the following:

    • Click Send Installer Link to copy the download URL into your default email client, to be sent to your users.

      This action will generate a predefined email.

      If you choose Send Installer Link, you have the following options:

      • Choose the recipients of the email that will need the installation on their workstations.
      • Once the email has been received by the users they just need to click or copy the URL link on the address bar.
    • Click Install on This Endpoint to proceed with the installation of the agent.

      The installation instructions will appear, click on Download.

  5. Open the downloaded installer package and follow the installation process.

  6. On the installation check message, click Continue.

  7. On the Introduction tab, Click Continue.

  8. On the Destination Select tab, click Continue.

  9. On the Connect to Server tab, click Continue.

  10. On the Installation Type tab, click Install.

  11. In the Installer is trying to install new software popup window, type in the User Name and the Password for the authentication then click Install Software.

    The Writing Files and Running Scripts window will then appear.

    On the Summary tab, the Installation Succeeded message will appear.

  12. After the new installation of the Security Agent, the "System Extension Blocked" popup message appears. Click Open Security Preferences.

  13. On the General tab, click the lock icon to make changes then click Allow next to "System software from developer "Trend Micro, Inc." was blocked from loading".

    This prompt appears because, starting macOS High Sierra 10.13, any third-party kernel extension installation will require the user's explicit approval, called "Kernel Extension (KEXT) consent". For additional information refer to the KB article: "System Extension Blocked" error appears after installing Trend Micro Security for Mac (TMSM) on macOS High Sierra 10.13 (or later).
  14. The "Protection Enabled" status will appear after successful installation. Click Close.
