vSMS Platform System Requirements
Overview
This article provides the minimum system requirements for the vSMS platform as outlined in the vSMS Getting Started Guide (TOS v6.1.0). Ensuring your system meets these requirements is crucial for optimal performance and stability.
Minimum System Requirements
The following are the minimum system requirements for the vSMS platform (as of TOS v6.1.0):
- Virtual Disk Size: 300 GB (600 GB recommended, maximum supported disk size is 1800 GB)
- Virtual CPUs: 8
- CPU Speed: 2.27 GHz
- Memory: 32 GB
- Virtual Network Adapters: 2
- One adapter for management
- One adapter for High Availability (HA) out-of-band replication, even if replication is not in use
High Availability Clusters
For High Availability clusters, both systems must have similar memory, CPU, and disk space to ensure seamless operation and failover capabilities.
Important Note
An upgrade beyond v6.1.0 will fail on any system that has a drive smaller than 300 GB or less than 12 GB of RAM. It is essential to verify your system's specifications before attempting an upgrade to avoid potential issues.
